At 4pm GMT on Sunday May 27, Christopher Lee joined an eagerly waiting throng of fans to celebrate his 79th birthday online here at Christopher Lee Web.
To begin the festivities, a clearly happy, Mr. Lee spoke to the audience in a live 30-minute video address. He started his talk by extending his heartfelt personal thanks to members for the wonderful gifts he received, which included everything from music CDs to a bottle of Akavit!
He then spoke at length about his recent experiences at Cannes and once again emphasized that LOTR will be one of the greatest films ever screened. His respect for Peter Jackson and the cast and crew is clear. During his talk he also made a few comments that surely are of interest to Star Wars fans too!

The Final Round of the Competition
After the video address, Mr. Lee joined fans in the Chat Room to co-host, with Joe Skinnell, the Final Round of the Christopher Lee Trivia Competition. The two teams, consisting of Sylvain and Joakim against Charles and Rebecca, faced off over a series of Flash presentations followed by some direct questioning from Mr. Lee! A very close competition, with final scores only 5 points apart, resulted with Charles and Rebecca as the victors. After the competition, Mr. Lee engaged members in general conversation which was highlighted with his spot-on impressions of Yosemite Sam and Sylvester the Cat. It was a fun occasion that members will treasure for a long time to come!
