These are Lucas Films authorised merchandise, approved by Mr Lee. Faultless works of art.

Every detail is perfect, his hair, eyes, nose. You cannot beat Lucas' laser technology. What anyone does, he does 100 times better.

The server for the pictures works when it wants, so keep trying. Someone asked me not long ago about using an altenative to RealMedia. If I did that, I would have to use a WindowsNT server and ASP. Here is the perfect example of how unreliable it is.

Looks like I'll need the smaller and larger version of these. The likeness is right on, whereas the Scaramanga one has a bit to be desired. I could have the Count kicking Jar Jar Bink's behind...

I thought I saw a bust in the works of Count Dooku posted a while back on the CL site. That was perfect. That laser technology is something else.

The LOTR figures of Mr. Lee are nice, but I have the smaller one, and after seeing the vinyl one, I don't see the need in buying it, there isn't that much of a difference to justify the cost. Personally, I like the smaller one because the pose can be changed, on the vinyl model, he's just standing there.

Can't wait for the movie!

These are the best action toy figures I've ever seen. Better start saving.

Agreed!

As I said in another post, I'm not an action figure collector, but this one (the 12") already has a place set out for it in my study. Amazing likeness!

The likeness is almost frightening! Especially the larger model. I am DEFINATELY getting one of these little beauties! Aint modern technology marvellous when it's used for art?

You got that right! It's so typical of Microsoft to insist you use their junk when there are so much better alternatives. I'm a QuickTime buff myself but Real is a great resource which we also use here at work for streaming medical media and live feeds.
Best,

These are just fantastic!

I use to collect Darth Sidious (Palpatine) action figures and stuff, but now I'll collect Darth Tyranus. And this collection will mean much more to me of course. The likeness is amazing, its like a madamme tussauds action figure!

After seeing the Scaramanga prototype figure I must say these are far and away superior in all regards. The likeness is absolutely startling. The 12" figures should go fast so I'm getting one as soon as I can find one.

May I say to all the ladies who always gushed that Mr. Lee was such a doll, that he is a doll now for sure and you finally can take him home with you!

Amazing likeness! That trademark profile and expression is unmistakable!
What does Mr. Lee think of the toys?

I don't think he's seen the toys yet (well, not to my knowledge), but I shall certainly bring them to his attention.

He saw the original scans for the toys but not sure about the end result.

I think these will replace all the Saruman figures round the house. I've got to have the lightsaber too.

George Lucas knows what we want and he justs delivers, I love the man. The film is going to be at least as good, if not better.

Mr Lee is the ultimate action dude, the 21st Century Arnold Schwazneger only much cooler.

Arachnia. Don't take any notice of me, I'm just grumpy by nature.

Sorry, I posted while Christina was on.

No probs. I tend to open my gob before engaging brain anyway. I'm haunted by espirit d'escalier (Read 'Death:The High Cost of Living' by Neil Gaiman if you don't get what I mean by this - he explains it waaaay better than I can).

I have to agree that Mr Lee is cooler than Arnie. I have thought so for a good 18 years now. I just hope he can live with the company on my action figures shelf. At the grand old age of 24 I start buying toys! Some of them are not quite as classy as Mr Lee - I also have Judge Death, Alice Cooper and Professor Snape from Harry Potter (Alan Rickman is number 2 in my top ten actors - guess who number 1 is). Saruman is on order, but count Dooku looks as if he is much more realistic.

Now that is what I call licensed product! First-rate likeness with a high degree of detail. I confess to not being much of a Star Wars buff, but these toys will make their way home to roost on the bookshelf.

Cheers!

Wow. The whole 12" line looks like a winner. Of course, Darth Tyranus will have to be brought first. I only hope he won't be short packed, like Darth Maul for Episode 1, where for the few few months of release he was nowhere to be seen in toy stores.

By the way, I think the toys are released worlwide on April 23rd.

Could be just me, but this sounds funny to me- I will call him... Mini Lee!

That is probably the first time Mr. Lee has been referred to as Mini.

"They never had toys like this when I was a kid." I sound like my grandpa.

My Barbie just left Scaramanga for Count Dooku.

She knows the real deal when she sees it.

ive collected toys since 1990. I have always been disappointed with Star wars. Its like they know they are the top collected toys so they dont try and the other companys make better toys better articulation likeness and so on. I im really impressed with The 12" figure one of those shots i believe the 2nd one is awesome. I will probally buy 3. I usually buy 2 ,1 to keep in the box and one to display. But with the Dooku figure resembaling Mr. Lee so much i will probally buy an additional one dress him in a suit and have a Christopher Lee figure. then I will take my 12" Grand Moff Tarkin and dress him in a suit and have the two great ones in plastic. I never even thought about the 12 " figures having a CL i was just hoping for the 4" but now i cant wait i will have my own Christopher Lee shelf soon. Hopefully the next wave of LOTR figures will have a 12" saruman. Lets not forget everyone Star Wars has released a 12" and a 4" Gran Moff Tarkin figure so we may be able to do some cool customs. How about the two figures standing on a mock up of Bray Studio??Wee!!Let the collecting begin..."Honey what are you doing in there? Nothing, just playing with my Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing Figures..whens dinner?

The recent Toy fair lists the 12" Dooku figure as a 2nd wave release. With the first wave out in spring I would look for the 12" figure around the summer. Usually Star Wars release 3 figures at at time in the 12" series. So It will be out in the 2nd set .The first series of smaller figures including the Count Dooku figure are due before the movies release . Also in addition to the standard figure there is one with flipping action to recreate the dueling scene.

Well, I just came back from the Star Wars "Midnight Madness" sale that the Toys R Us chain had here in the states, allowing fans to be the first to get their items before normal business hours. Yes, I too have come to the conclusion that I may possibly be quite mad for running out so late, but that's what happens when:

1.) You're a Lee admirer

2.) You've been a SW admirer for 25 years and couldn't quite indulge in the toys, etc. when they were first out. But you certainly can now.

3.) You're a Lee admirer Smile

All i could find in the Dooku.Tyranus figures was the smaller one which does a backflip if you set it up right. Or, as the box says, if the force is with you.
