Re: Cowboys for Christ
Hello everyone,
Excellent news, Juan!! This is one of the ones I (and a good many other people) have been looking forward to for a long long time. I am delighted to read that it looks as though this film will finally be made. With absolutely no irreverent intentions, thank the Pagan Gods for this most auspicious benefaction! Take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés
Re: Cowboys for Christ
It is cancelled again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BBC NEWS | Scotland | South of Scotland | Cult film sequel shoot called off
Is it true ?
Re: Cowboys for Christ
Just read the same news on the BBC website. What a huge disappointment! The production company really let everybody down. How could they book locations, extras etc. and not have the money ready ? They planned the filming for many month. What went wrong?
If indeed postponed once again, I hope Mr. Lee isn't too late to sign up immediately for "The Vij" oder "Triage". And Tim Burton is filming "Alice in Wonderland" in London this May, so I'm sure we will also hear some good news pretty soon.
Re: Cowboys for Christ
So what's the real deal Juan ? Is filming about to start and, if so, where.
I'm sure you can understand the dissapointment out there.
This is one film I would dearly love to see finished as, unlike most recent projects, it would afford a starring role to Mr Lee .
Something almost unheard of for an actor of his age.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed but an update would be much appreciatted.
Re: Cowboys for Christ
Erg...I just got an e-mail from the head of Flixstir (the movie community website) saying:
Thanks for the suggestion! We've added this to our database
Cowboys For Christ - Movie Reviews, Photos & Videos, Layouts & Wallpapers, Fan Club - Flixster
Enjoy the site!
I don't want this to be in vain. It took the poor fellow a while to create that page lol. :s:
I will keep fingers, toes and other appendages crossed that someone will have the decency to finance this film...perhaps a major studio even? The film seems quite bankable to me and with Mr. Lee and Mr. Hardy on board (plus now Mr. Weasly and Ms. Collins) I'd think that someone would want to make this film. :dontknow:
Re: Cowboys for Christ
Are there any updates regarding production. Most web sites are reporting the film's now been abandoned.
Re: Cowboys for Christ
If would help if you post a link to those reports because you may have misread. Mr. Lee is right now working on Triage and will be unavailable for a minimun of 2 months.
Maybe its the other way around.
The article is here:
Filming starts next week, but Lee will be joining the company later as he has just started production on another major film in Scotland. Sources say the film is titled Cowboys for Christ and is said to be a long-awaited reimagining of the classic 1973 movie The Wicker Man.
Re: Cowboys for Christ
Very important update!
[=#000000]COWBOYS FOR CHRIST The second film in The Wicker Man Trilogy.
NEITHER a PREQUEL or a SEQUEL, nor a RE-MAKE, COWBOYS FOR CHRIST on May Day is to be the SECOND FILM in what may be called THE WICKER MAN TRILOGY.
Robin Hardy, author, screenwriter and film director designate of Cowboys for Christ and director of the original The Wicker Man film as well as co-author of the novel of the same name
Re: Cowboys for Christ
It will be awesome when this is finished. A friend of mine from Oklahoma wears a belt that says Cowboys for Christ. He told me that it's like a rodeo where people have faith in the theme as well as people who are willing to help others to faith. It helps everyone to know God more. So it is neat to figure it out because I told him what Mr. Lee is doing about making this film. He told me to let them know that he and his family and friends are praying to make sure that everything goes well. God will lead the way during this film. He explain this as well. So God bless ya'll as well. From all of us country cowboys-girls who serve Christ.
