Re: Martin Scorcese Video - Estepona
Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for posting this video, Juan! A truly touching tribute from Martin Scorsese. I especially like the observation Mr Scorsese makes about Mr Lee's joy when he is singing. I agree with Steve, it would be really interesting to see Mr Lee working in one of Martin Scorsese's films. Who knows? Thanks again! Take care:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

I also thank, Juan and it is noticed with which great emotion and honesty Mr. Scorcese speaks about Mr. Lee's films. The image that he does of Mr. Lee's interpretations, the his opinion is the same of many fans. The elegance, the portliness, the beauty, magisterial voice they are just some true attributes of our idol.
The subtitles in the video were very important.
Re: Martin Scorcese Video - Estepona
A nice tribute from one of the worlds finest directors . Marty's comments on "growing up" with Christopher Lee movies and characters are, I know, shared by many including me.
Wouldn't in be great to see them work together sometime soon.
Re: Martin Scorcese Video - Estepona
I also agree with all of the above comments. We are fortunate to have two treasures--Martin Scorcese and Mr. Lee--still actively involved in mainstream motion pictures. I have always appreciated Scorcese's passion for film history and the way he brings this love into his own work.
I wonder what it would be like for the two to collaborate on something relating to Italians throughout history, perhaps with something depicting Mr. Lee's illustrious ancestors as well as the role of cultural occurrences, such as issues of representation (i.e. the issue of stereotyping in the states a la The Sopranos)? I could imagine Mr. Lee in a number of roles within a depiction of the history.

Well, I think I was blind and deaf again, because I just found this wonderful video!
Very nice man and his tribute to Mr Lee is soooo kind. I enjoyed listening to him and I am sure Mr Lee did the same. It is lovely that there are people, all around the world, who adore Mr Lee. And one thing is for sure: If there is one person who deserves this kind of attention, IT IS MR CHRISTOPHER LEE!!!
Thank you for the lovely video!
Best wishes,
Daniela from Germany

Re: Martin Scorcese Video - Estepona
What a nice tribute from one of the best directors of our time. And Mr. Scorsese seems to know and enjoy so many of Mr. Lee's films, from "Curse of Frankenstein" up to "Jinnah".
I know they have met socially before, but it's a pity Scorsese and Lee have never worked together.
I'm glad to hear that the event in Estepona went so well.
