I did watch the Bafta's when it was aired on telivision, but it never covered any of the red carpet action. So I decided to watch mtv Screenplay today as they had talked to many to actors/ actresses on the red carpet. One of the actors they did talk to was Mr.John Rhys Davies.
This is what he said: ' I wish we would give more credence to Christopher Lee. Christopher Lee really should be knighted. You know, this man is a war hero and he has made more films than any of the five major actors here put together'.
Now I think he said put together, if he didn't then I would proberly want to of said that! And do you know, I totally agree with him, Mr Lee served in The Royal Air Force during the 2nd World War and he is a Acting Legend, why shouldn't he be knighted? come on Queen Elizebeth, you know you want to! (Yeah like she would read this! I am a worthless idiot, who on earth would read this?)
Well what do you think? I think you are sooooo right Mr Davies!
By the way is John Rhys Davies cornish?

very funny Star! I am hyper at the moment so i might just do that or I might just not do it, i will go with the flow!
Yes well it is true, you do need to know the right people. But I personally think it is the talent that truly shows through, and if the person who has the talent enjoys what he or she does then carry on and be happy. I personally think that the Baftas were not as good as last year. But I cannot wait until the Oscars. Does anyone know what date it is?
I think that the Oscars on March 22nd.
Since I live in the U.S. I am probably not really qualified to comment on this subject, but still...It really is a shame that Mr. Lee hasn't been knighted. He's the perfect candidate for it. In fact, some time ago I believed that he had been knighted. I was shocked to find out that this was not so.
I agree, he has not really received the recognition he deserves. Of course, he does have a good number of devoted fans, and that has to be worth a lot.

I totally agree that Mr. Lee should be given much more respect for his talents than he is, whether it is being knighted or whatever. Unfortunately, what really happens in everyday life in the U.S. as well as the U.K. (I'm pretty sure) is that if you are not "connected" or know the "right people," recognition is far and few between. It still is a matter of who you know, not what you know or can do. I know that is how you get top jobs in the U.S. and I'm sure that exists most everywhere else in this corrupt world of ours. It is unfortunate but all too true. If it wasn't and talent alone were the only criteria for getting nominated for any prestigious award (like the Oscar), then Peter Jackson would have been nominated. We know that just isn't the case.
Cheers to Mr. Lee for rising above it all and appreciating what he does have! He's a great man!!
