I'm sure you have quite enough to do, Juan, but I thought I'd drop it on the tool bench in case you want to put it together sometime: the ability to just hit a button within any post that takes you up one level, either from within a thread to the forum it's in, or from within a forum to the main forums index -- without going to the drop-down list.

There are times one wants to go up a level without having to put much thought into what forum the current topic is in. (Maybe it's just a blonde thing.)

I am not 100% sure I know what you mean. On top of the forums, there is a navigation menu that can take you up 2 steps. i.e

2 up The Official Christopher Lee Forums
1 up Website Upgrade
Current Editing post in: Feature Suggestion - "Up one level" (Forums)

It looks like a tree menu.

Is that it? If not explain again and I'll code it.

That is exactly what I'd hoped for, Juan. It's perfect. Maybe I need to look at the interface a bit more closely. There is certainly more here than meets the eye. For example, I didn't know about double-clicking "Emoticons are enabled" to bring up the list until Joe answered someone's question. I had seen the list only by clicking the "Help" icon at the top of the screen, then going into the screen that popped up and finding and clicking "View Emoticons legend" at the very bottom of that screen.

Maybe the only thing needed to help people find things and take advantage of more features is a prominent sign that says clicking anything red (or whatever other people see or will see in the near future), such as words in the hierarchy of forum branches at the top of the page, or the "Emoticons are enabled" sign in the reply form, will bring you something good.

It's kind of scary to hear a Webmaster say something to the effect of "Explain what you want, and I'll code it." Most of the guys I know say they'll see if there's a script out there, or that they don't know if something can be done.

So -- you are the real deal. Mr. Lee is fortunate to have an honest-to-goodness Web developer instead of one of the millions of Webmasters who couldn't function outside their page generators.
