Unfortunately, I think this was one of the Hammer productions that never managed to cross the Atlantic. We did get Orson Welles' Great Mysteries, and Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected, though.

I only vaguely recall seeing ORSON WELLES GREAT MYSTERIES on ITV in the mid 1970s, I don't think the series ever got a repeat run anywhere since. Made, if memory serves me right by Anglia, it should still be available for TV channels (such as Granada Plus) to screen again.

I would like to see JOURNEY TO THE UNKNOWN again however, and I hear that HAMMER HOUSE OF HORROR is coming to Region 2 DVD in the near future (it's already out on Region 1)

Odd that it was released here, in the States, before it was released in its homeland. The Region 1 edition is wonderful. And, at $60.00 (USD), a great buy for all 13 episodes.

I think I must have hit the wrong button somehwere. This wasn't meant to be a whole new thread. Rather I was responding to Mark's Thread "Hammer's Journey."

Sorry for the glitch. Moderators, please feel free to move these posts and delete this thread.

Again, apologies.

Phew! I thought we were suddenly discussing the 70s singing group--lol--

I look forward to being in a better financial position so I might buy this box set...

HAHAHA! For a minute there, when I saw the title of the post, I thought it was about the band Journey! Journey wasn't THAT bad...but they are nothing without Steve Perry. There was quite a bit of 80s-cheese involved with the videos, but the songs were good nonetheless.

"You are wise in your generation.."Dr Pretorious,Bride Of Frankenstein

Yes , they had a few good tunes, but Steve Perry was what made the band--

Not enough Chris Lee though..
