Can anyone tell me something about John Landis "The Stupids"( who stopped making good movie since "Into the night")? Mr. Lee played a character named "Evil Sender".
From the imdb comments the film seems "love or hate".
Some praised the amazing simple comedy of it while others just found it stupid (duh ! ).
Still it is great that Mr. Lee is in a movie by the guy who directed
Blues Brothers ,Animal House and American Werewolf in London (still the best Werewolf movie ever ).

The Stupids is a children's book series about a family who get things backwards or mixed up 'cause they're, well, stupid.

In the movie, Stanley Stupid (Tom Arnold), during his job at the post office, sees all these letters marked 'Return to Sender' and naturally realizes it's some kind of conspiracy-- who *is* Sender, anyway? Lee plays his vision of the evil Mr. Sender, and it's extremely funny: usually only Vincent Price got to be this over-the-top evil.

Hard to say if you'll like the movie or not-- it's exceedingly silly and I don't think I'd've paid theatre ticket prices for it-- but I sure did enjoy it when I rented it; in fact, I thought it was much funnier than the other film I rented at the time... Austin Powers.

Well i cant agree with Brandi on being funnier than Austin Powers ...it is pretty funny ,but real stupid funny. Think airplane Naked gun funny. It is worth seeing for Chrsitopher as the Sender cool role in a hot,hot suit. He isnt in it very long though

No, Lee's part is small but memorable. There are some other cameo-like appearances that are pretty funny too, like David Cronenberg and Jenny McCarthy...
