"The Resident", a thriller produced bythe re-branded company Hammer Films, has been acquired by US distributor Image Entertainment. The film has been screened recently at the American Film Market. Image is mostly in the home entertainment and music business, "The Resident" however will get a theatrical release in the US in spring 2011, it was announced.
In the UK, Icon Film Distribution will distribute the film with a planned release date in March 2011.
Constantin Film has the rights for the german speaking region and a DVD/Bluray release date had been announced for December 2010. Maybe this will be postponed because of the new US/UK situtation.
"The Resident" stars Hillary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lee Pace and Sir Christopher Lee.
