Just found this site while I was searching for a Bio on Christopher. I think I've seen most of his movies, from Scaramander to Fu Man Chu and many much ealrier than those. Long may he reign.
The old ones are the best.
I am a LONG time fan of Mr. Lee's. I was obsessed with horror movies in my younger years...Love, Loved, Loved them... I really enjoy older horror movies and not so much with the new slasher films. It was always the best that a young child could witness the vampire bite without being traumatized! Today's movies are way too graphic because today's children lack the imagination that we had in the black and white days...so the movie producers insist on showing EVERYTHING imaginable. I appreciate Mr. Lee as an actor and if I hear that he is going to be in a film, I will go out of my way to watch it. He brings dignity to any film that he is in. I always said that if I had to be bitten by a vampire, it would be Christopher Lee :) HUGZ to a very special person and 90 years still makes you a youngster!!! :) Like a fine wine...BETTER with age!

Hi to all new members, I look in day by day. Does the great gentleman post on here?
Hello and welcome.
Welcome to the CLW
Hello and welcome. It's certainly the place to be, for any updates on Sir Christopher Lee.
I first saw Christopher Lee in The Three Musketeers around 1974 when I was 10 years old. I remember a feeling of great comfort watching that film, and it stayed with me always, but I didn't really make the connection as to why until 2007. I met my fiance in 2007 and felt a strange bond the moment I first saw him, like I had come "home". His looks were the looks I had always dreamed of, a vision that I had carried with me even from childhood, of the perfect man. He reminded me of someone too - like an actor from a Musketeery, swashbucklery type movie. Then I figured out it was probably The Three Musketeers. So I rented it hoping to find this dream man who has inspired me for so long. It is Christopher Lee. I also realized that when I saw The Three Musketeers at 10, mreIiIIiiiiiiiII alIiIreiy father had only recently died (of Hodgkins Disease, at 33 years old) - and he too looked similar to Christopher Lee - tall, dark and handsome (except green-eyed), having the same mustache and beard. So all this to say, it seems that I saw that film at 10 years of age and felt a comfort and connection to Christopher Lee, who looked like my father, and I've carried this always.
So, for me, it was all about Christopher LeL LLLLl Lee's LOOKS (he is the perfect specimen of a man after all), so what a nice added surprise to discover that there is so much more to him than his looks. I get the sense from hearing him speak and the roles he chooses that he is a man of great depth and warmth. I love how he has been married to the same woman for so many years. He and Johnny Depp seem to be friends and I have always thought Johnny Depp was great. He and Christopher Lee seem to be such warm, deep wonderful family men, who dare to be themselves. I've got my mom and my friends into Christopher Lee now too!
Since 2007 I have watched more Christopher Lee movies than I can count. Last weekend we watched Jinnah. Wow, fantastic, I just wish it were more available to the public. This weekend we will watch Rasputin, Arabian Adventure, Wicker Man (again). I am trying to find Caravans which also stars my father's first cousin Michael Sarrazin too (he and my father walked to school together, in Montreal, Quebec, where we are from). I better dash. If someone can pass on to Christopher Lee for me know how much he means to me, I will be forever grateful. He planted a seed in my 10 year old mind that grew and grew and here we are today! I am better for it! Love you all for loving him too!
Kind regards and Christopher Lee forever!
A hearty WELCOME to all the newbies!
