A Deep Question...

...about a very deep, intelligent man.  Sir Christopher Lee has certainly lived a life most others have only dreamt of or read about in the best of fiction.  He came from royality.  As a patriot, he fought for his country in WWII (and served as a spy with his step cousin Ian Fleming).  Not only did he succefully carve himself a career in film but also excaped the cruel confines of a career in horror.  Now he enjoys status of the elder statesments in motion pictures.

My question:  With all his life experience, what religious faith, if any, does Sir Christopher Lee subscribe to and how he arrived at that belief system?

A recent interview said he values the sanctity of marriage.  That sounds like he would be a Christian but one should never presume.

If one wonders why ask, the reason is simple: I've always held to the view that one can better understand an individual by what they believe.  And I also wondered if maybe his faith may have also played into why he wanted to get away from horror (barring the obvious if you look at what has happened, professionally, all the other actors strongly associated with horror).

Kindest,

Blake

To your question I can

To your question I can answer, using Sir Christopher's words, as in his book he says that "He became an Anglo-Catholic. I don't know whether he still does subscribe to this religious faith or if that was only in his early years of youthness. But at least, He, Himself, said this in His book.

No problem.  I really don't

No problem.  I really don't recall if the question was answered back then... it's been a number of years and I've since forgotten I'm afraid.

Yes, you are right, I did

Yes, you are right, I did refer to both books, "TALL, DARK & GRUESOME" and of course, to "LORD OF MISRULE" where, He, himself said so.

Yes, these are, no doubt, the two books to have on Sir Christopher Lee. I do have both books, and I have loved reading them so much.

By the way, I am sorry if I am late in answering to your comments, but once I was told when someone did reply to me, but since a certain time, I no longer am told about that, and thus, sometimes I don't know that someone did reply to me. I apologize for being late in answering to you.

Hello Mirella, I don't

Hello Mirella,

I don't necessarily expect a reply because people could easily miss my post.  Also, what I contribute isn't necessarily that important.  Yet I still thank you.  And so sorry for this late reply.

Kindest,

Blake.
