Mr. Lee: I was very pleased to discover your involvement with the animated Discworld series. There can be no better voice for Death, and I mean that in the best possible way. Were you familiar with Terry Pratchett's Discworld characters/books before being approached for the role? If so, what do you think of the books?
Dear Sherlock,
I have to admit that "Discworld" and "Wyrd Sisters" is unaccountably missing from my filmography. I am glad to know that you enjoyed "Death" - as much as I enjoyed playing him. And I was very pleased to be told by Terry Pratchett himself that he was very happy with the result. I had already read some of his truly remarkable books. And I hope to play Death again, if and when any of the other stories are made.
Warm regards,
Christopher Lee
