Re: Mr Lees autograph
Hello, I just wanted to know if the website shop will be back anytime soon? I am especially interested in a possible 'send in option' to get personal items signed. I have been a fan of Mr. Lee now for many years and it would be such a thrill to get a personal item signed. I did have the honour of meeting him at a James Bond convention at Pinewood Studios in 1996, however I was only 12 at the time and I didn't think about getting autographs back then lol.
I look forward to hearing some news.
Kindest Regards,
Philip Hawkins
Re: Mr Lees autograph
There was a send-in option at one point. I was lucky enough to have my British edition of TALL, DARK & GRUESOME autographed several years ago, thanks to Juan. I paid for postage on the way over; they paid for it coming back. Quite a charming surprise and an anecdote I've shared with many about Mr. Lee ever since. Hopefully, you'll get the opportunity to obtain a similar memento!
Shop?
Is there a date when this shop will be active? Looking to secure a Christopher Lee Star Wars autograph.
Is it possible to mail in an 8x10 and have Mr. Lee sign it until the shop is ready? I can make a donation to a charity or send Paypal directly to him.
Thanks!
signed stuff
the best would be to have a "send-in" signing, even expensive, its the way to go
This was how the site used to do it and Juan was very gracious about getting signatures. He has mentioned it within the last few months, so we may have a nice little window of opportunity to get Sir Christopher's signature once more very soon.
Signed stuff
I'm sorry, but how does that work?
In the early days of the site (I think from 2002-2005) Juan was selling photographs that you could choose in the "Store" section of the site. You could then choose to have Sir Christopher just sign his name, or have a personally signed photo.
I specifically had a photo of Saruman that I wanted addressed to me with a personal message. Juan had Mr. Lee sign it "To Brandon, my best, Christopher Lee" and I cherish it - It still hangs on my wall in a custom frame. I believe I paid 30-40 pounds for that. I can't recall now as it was in 2002.
I believe also that Juan was allowing people to mail in the items that they wanted signed and there was a higher price associated with that.

Oh, but you could still choose an item from the store and get it signed. By the way, what was the paying method?
Thanks for the reply.
Correct, you could chose
Correct, you could chose items from the store signed as is. The photo I chose was in the store, but I wanted a personal message, so it cost a bit more than the standard fee. I don't recall what the payment method was. I *think* it was PayPal.
Scarecrow, Do NOT buy
Scarecrow,
Do NOT buy anything off eBay. I did this once too... I believe it was in 2001, right before I joined the site. When I did join the site, I showed the image to Juan as I wanted to send in the photograph and have it personalised. (It was only signed "Christopher Lee")... I bought it from a very well known dealer in America called "Alfie's" in Hollywood. Juan took one look at it and said "That's not Mr. Lee's signature!" So we set about calling this guy out on his fakes. I don't know if we had anything to do with it, but that guy went out of business shortly thereafter.
Anyhow, the point is you can never be 100% certain it's authentic unless you get it yourself. Even with a photograph sometimes it's not 100%. I would suggest waiting to hear from Juan about whether he's going to offer this in the Store again in the future. ![]()

I've read on a magazine that someone from country sent a letter to Sumer Glau and she replied to him/her with a autograph ( She replied in about 6 months or less), so that's why I got curious... so should I send a letter to Mr Lee and hope that he replies?

Re: Mr Lees autograph
