Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
I have a question, I have always thought Mr Lee was a really special man, Last evening I was surfing around the net and found an article in which he said He had not been attractive to women, that he scared them and they did not make "passes " at him. I have trouble believing that. I think he and Sean Connery are both incredibly attractive men. I hope this is not inappropriate to post. But I was wondering what the rest of the ladies on the site think about that. Kaity
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
I think, Christopher Lee is one of the handsomest men, I know. But this blurb about HIS inatractivity for women in the past, I heard about it too. They had been scared of HIM, because of HIS roles (Dracula and Co.). So much I heard.
(And sorry for my english, I am stil learnig it.)
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
the picture is marvellous, it really captures a moment. Your English is wonderful Monica, keep up the good work. Learning another language is never easy but always worth it. I had French in high school and since have learned Italian German and Hebrew. Kaitlin
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
Lovely photo, and I do agree with Kaitlin: What a handsome man! He seems to be like a good wine: The older, the better! Oh well, I must apologize, dear Mr. Lee, if that was too cheeky now...
Hah,hah,hah..German and Brazilian women... ! Dear Mr. Lee you know that we loved him for the your talent, sympathy, simplicity, willpower, etc... and for your great beauty!
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
Hello everyone,
~Directs the "journalists" who wrote those articles about Mr Lee scaring off women because of the dark roles he has played throughout his career to this thread~ I think this one proves beyond a doubt that Mr Lee has absolutely no problems in that department. Take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
What can I say? I absolutely agree with you. Isabel, could I ever say it in a better way? NO!!! Although he is a fantastic actor, a great star, he IS also such a beautiful man. No matter, how old he is. I am sure, his wife does agree with us, LOL!
Dear Andrès, there was something about Mr. Lee and his "dark appearance", scared off women? Oh well, you can see me very surprised now...well, you can`t see me, but it is the truth! I don´t want to offend the "journalists", but it is no secret, that many women loved and "desired" him BECAUSE OF THAT ROLES! I think, no matter if he is playing the villain or the saint - he is always perfect AND BEAUTY!!

Hello again,
In case you are interested, Daniela, here is a link to a thread I started a couple of years ago in response to an article I found which claimed that Mr Lee had said he scared women because of his sinister roles on film, particularly Dracula: http://www.christopherleeweb.com/forums/showthread.php/question-regarding-recent-61781/index.html?t=61781. As you can see from the replies by the female members of CLW, I don't think they would be fleeing from him. Anyway, take care:
Warmest regards,
Andrés
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
Thank you so much, dear Andrès and Isabel,
thank you for posting the link and to you, dear Isabel, for sharing the idea with Andrès, LOL!!!
It was very interesting to read it and I must agree with all the female writers here: I was never scared off, and I was in the same age as Isabel, when I "met" Mr. Lee for the first time: 10 years old!!! I was fascinated and just a little later, my thoughts were like this: WOW, such an exciting, irresistible man! And I still feel so!
I do agree with all of you:People should be able to see the difference between THE ROLE and THE PERSON IN REAL LIFE! Mr. Lee has such a lovely smile, how could I feel any fear? Yes, he is quite tall, and I am a tiny person, but if I ever met him in my life, and I don`t think so, it would be a good laugh - and a sore neck for me - looking up that high, LOL!
The "bad boys" and I am talking about the roles now, are ALWAYS more interesting to most of the women. By the way, I also like Alan Rickman very much, in all of his movies, but I "found" him in Harry Potter, as "dark" Severus Snape. That is me...but non of them ever scares me off. I would be mad!
Yes Andrès, you are right, I wouldn`t flee - but maybe he would! German blondes, especially when they are nervous(because when they stand in front of such a brilliant star!), can be very annoying!!! Haha!!
Thank you again...was very interesting to read all of it.
I send you my best wishes and please take care!
Daniela
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
Maybe you are right, dear Doug.
I just can speak for myself, I really like tall men, although I am a petite person. Maybe that`s why? People say that some women always look for someone to shelter them? I don`t know. I am not scared off Mr. Lee and I never was. And I mean the person, not the role as DRACULA for example.
Oh Doug, I see here where you come from, because I asked you in another thread.
I was too blind, sorry for that.
Take care,
Daniela
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
Another vote here for tall men, even though I myself am a shortie, my best friend is 6'7' and even though I wind up talking to his belt buckle a lot he is a wonderfully atractive man, and great fun. I think hieght is a assett, most of the presidents of the United States have been over 6 feet. I think it has something to do with a feeling of protection that comes from having someone bigger than you are around. I wonder if there have been any studies on the subject. I really don't think Mr Lee has ever really had trouble with women, He is the most attractive man I personally have ever seen

This picture Isabel has posted, is one of my favourite pictures of Mr. Lee.
My ladies, I absolutely agree with you, I also like tall men.
As for "Mr. Lee scared women because of his sinister roles": I will never understand this :hmmmm:
I like his dark roles very much, he is there so sinister and magnificent. The dark characters he had played did never scare me. And Mr. Lee himself...how could he???
He is such a kind and handsome man!
Angel, Dracula 1958 is also one of my favourite films.
Conny
Re: The picture belongs to a character or...
Thank you Conny, lovely photo, I saw it before but it is still fantastic!
What a handsome man! Ladies we are all of one kind: We adore Mr. Lee, and we all agree: Dracula was one of his best roles! But I am quite happy that he made lots of other movies as well.
I just startet to collect all of the dvd`s....I am looking forward to having all one day...
Take care,
Daniela

It was very good you to find it.
