What are the chances of Mr. Lee coming to the U.S.A.? Let's Say around the Great State of Texas
I'm sure you read it every day, how one of your many fans would love to meet you. And I fear you shall continue to read such things.
You are one of the few old time classical actor's that I know of, today's actors are ok, some have a spark of classic training, but i dont think any of todays actors have ever bothered doing a stage play.
Any way, I'm just one of your many fans!!
Oh by the way, Say Howdy to Mr. Ben Stevins next time you run into him. My understanding, my friend has met you several times (lucky devil).
Looking forward to seeing you on the big screen again soon!
Re: Traveling
But until then, we can still be audience to many of his new films such as "Cowboys for Christ" and "Sweeney Todd" (though I am not entirely sure if he has agreed to make the latter). Anyway, take care Elizabeth and God bless!
Warmest regards,
David Clayton a.k.a. Kevin.
Hello everyone,
The question of Sweeney Todd came up at the "Revelation and Celebration" event last weekend. According to Mr Lee and Juan, Mr Lee's participation was based on unfounded rumours as far as they were concerned. There is a lot of misinformation posted online all the time. I distinctly remember Mr Lee saying to the people who raised the question as to whether he would be appearing (or would like to appear) in Sweeney Todd "You would have to ask the producers that!" We will know as soon as the film comes out! Cowboys for Christ, however, seems more promising, but, as Mr Lee said, they need to find an actress for the leading female role who can really sing! Fingers tightly crossed on that one!
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Andres, Thank You for the 'update'...Very interesting and cryptic....
Yes the rumours on the internet do abound..Which is why we value the CLW so much!
I have seen other rumours about Mr. Lee and Sweeney Todd, but they are just that, 'rumours' which is why I try to avoid posting anything I can't verify from a 'reliable' source....
In that vein... Mr. Lee and Juan are definitely classified as 'Reliable Sources'!!!
I guess we shall just have to wait and see......
Cowboys for Christ should be interesting also....
Thank You again for the update!
Cheers,
Helen
Re: Traveling
Andres, We definitely need to keep our fingers crossed for 'Cowboys for Christ'!
A nostalgic reunion in more than one aspect.....I was thinking about what Mr. Lee says in 'Lord of Misrule' about not being able to be paid to be part of The WickerMan and then a 'generation later' working on a film with Justin Hardy directing (and not being able to receive payment)....*"That I really couldn't afford to go on working for the Hardy family"....
And here we are, two generations later (?) awaiting another excellent film....
Bigger budget this time around, hopefully!
Cheers,
Helen

Re: Traveling
Elizabeth, I feel for you. I too am hoping that one day, very soon, Mr. Lee will come to the U.S. for a signing or some special event. Maybe our dream will become a reality. We shall see. But until then, we can still be audience to many of his new films such as "Cowboys for Christ" and "Sweeney Todd" (though I am not entirely sure if he has agreed to make the latter). Anyway, take care Elizabeth and God bless!
