I'm with Old Soul and Jurious on this one , I am really forward to all of them too , eventhough I had voted for SW : episode 3 over the Two Towers , I would say for me # 1 it's SW3 , # 2 I'ts the Two Towers , # 3 It's Riding of the Laddie, # 4 The Last Unicorn , # 5 It's the remake of the Devil Rides Out , but I'm looking forward to see Mr. Lee's Performance s in all of them .
I know Lucas has a team of writers, but ultimately he is the one with the final say so.
I am really rev'd for the Two Towers, but I have to say, The Last Unicorn is really high up on my list of must see movies. This poll was unfair. How are we to decide!?
I can't wait for the Two Towers to open!! I thought Lord of the Rings was great (even though I kind of messed up the quiz). I will watch the Lord of the Rings again to refresh my mind with the storyline before I see the Two Towers. COOL.
I picked the last unicorn life action since I grew up with the cartoon.
My kids have since had great fondess for the film and therefore it became sort of a family tradition to watch it with them and hopefully to someday watch it with their kids and so on.
I tend to take a rather cautious, to say the least, view toward remakes and sequels, particularly of precious classics like The Devil Rides Out and The Wicker Man, so I'm really taking a "wait and see" approach where they're concerned.
I was very, very pleased with EPII, and my hope is that EPIII will prove the rewarding culmination to the saga that it should be.
Wait and see we will!
I agree with you Dave Hutchens, I am also wary of remakes as a rule. However now and then there is an exceptionally good remake. Just one exception that always leaps to mind was the remake of CAPE FEAR which was every bit as good as-if not better than-the now classic original. THE DEVIL RIDES OUT will have lots of potential, and a built in audience waiting for it to open and I'll be among them.
I don't think LADDIE is going to be a sequel or a remake. From what I've read here it appears to be a brand new story with some familiar faces in totally new roles. The tremendous cult following for Wicker Man should insure a good opening box office no matter what the critics say. I know I'll be there.
THE TWO TOWERS is anxiously awaited by me as well. I feel the LOTR series will eventually rank with Star Wars 4, 5 & 6 and with the Indiana Jones Films as one the greatest adventure series ever put on film and a certain classic for the next 50 years...at least!
The LOTR books were some of the most enduring fiction to emerge from the 20th Century and apparently still serve quite well as inspiration for writers such as J. K. Knowling. I love the LOTR books, I even thought THE HOBBIT was a great book and should have been made into a movie first.
I don't know enough about production on the LAST UNICORN to comment about it, but I plan on seeing it with my family. The animated version was a crowd pleaser and got some very good reviews. With high production values, a script faithful to the original and plenty of budget this could be a surprise hit. As appropriate for the time as the music by AMERICA may have sounded in the animated version, the live action remake must have a whole new soundtrack and it must be timeless.
My vote went to the sequel, or prequel if you prefer, STAR WARS EPISODE III. As one, like Mr. Hutchens, who was there when E4 opened way back when (in the early days of DISCO), I'll be happy to have lived to see the vision fulfilled. I believe that Mr. Lee's role in E3 will be pivotal and will hopefully get him far more screen time than E2. There are a myriad of unresolved plot lines to tie up and Darth Tyranus/Count Dooku surely will be the one to tie up a few of the loose ends! To think otherwise would require an Episode III and one-half!
The Two Towers has a lot more to offer than just CL, the other characters are very fascinating as well. I have enjoyed Star Wars also, and am looking forward to the third installment, but the characters, aside from Dooku, aren't as captivating as those from Lord Of The Rings.
That's true. I'm a Star Wars fan as everyone else are but when it comes to the LOTR movies, I found the characters more captivating since they feel so real when you see them on screen. For me Episode 3 feels far away but The Two Towers aren't. Just a few months. December 18th.

Dr.Terrors House of Horrors was a good film, don't get me wrong - just something about it didn't appeal to me. I'm always willing to watch anything with an open mind, though.
I recently caught Dr.Terror's House of Horrors, which is one of the most bizarre films I have ever seen... Nice to see Mr.Lee in something of a different kind of role, but I admit, I didn't really like the film too much... :D
In that case, then, I'm sure you wouldn't like the 'sequel.' Dr. Terror's House of Pancake's.
But seriously, Jurious, I can see how the 'omnibus' type of film might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, if you haven't seen it already, check out the original Tales from the Crypt. I think it's far and away the best of the bunch, and boasts a remarkable and moving performance by Peter Cushing.
I'm sticking with Episode 3 - I find Dooku a fascinating and incredible character, and can't wait to see Mr.Lee as him again - although Two Towers comes close behind.
In the meantime, there are plenty of other films to try and catch, starring Mr.Lee! How many films is he in? Over 250, I heard.

I have a hard time waiting for anything new Mr. lee is in. I have a hard enough time waiting for the re-releases of some of his classic films. I can't wait for Episode 3.....
So much all SW fans have been waiting for will occur in Episode 3, so the next 3 years are gonna be tough to wait through! At least LOTR is out on the way!
SW:Ep3 is gonna be so dark... I can't wait! :vader:
It would have to be Episode 3 for me. I've waited too long for the prequels and it can't come soon enough for me. The 16 years in between movies were tough. But any Christopher Lee movies that come out in the meantime and inbetween time will be great.
I tend to take a rather cautious, to say the least, view toward remakes and sequels, particularly of precious classics like The Devil Rides Out and The Wicker Man, so I'm really taking a "wait and see" approach where they're concerned.

But looking at it from a Christopher Lee fan perspective I find I would pick Episode 3 since this is the more unpredictable role to me.
I'd have to agree with you, Nilredwen! Dooku is a fascinating character - very enigmatic! I'm still unsure about his reasons for turning to the Darkside - I know he had his reasons, but how does one who was once a fantastic Jedi become so evil? Don't only the Darkest warriors utilise Force-Lightning? It's gotta be more than mere disillusion...
Anyway, I can't wait! Ep.3 is gonna be the darkest of the saga, I'm sure - and nothing beats a dark, brooding film, IMO! :1devil:
I had also voted for The Devil Rides Out, though I am looking forward to seeing all the new movies, I felt in this movie he would be on the screen for most of the movie, (perhaps also in Riding the Laddie too), I am not sure.
I do enjoy his acting very much, and it will be a joy to see him on the screen longer then what he has been lately.
The Devil Rides Out gets my vote .I know the project has been talked about for years but I did'nt know it was on the cards in the near future , if so , I can't wait.
On the one hand I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan so I most yearn to see Two Towers. But looking at it from a Christopher Lee fan perspective I find I would pick Episode 3 since this is the more unpredictable role to me. I've read Tolkien so I know the story arc for Saruman but as has been said on other threads there's no telling which way Lucas will take Count Dooku's character and seeing it all unfold will be very exciting I'm sure. Alright then, Episode 3 it is!
Roll on remake of The Devil Rides Out! I've heard rumours about this for just too many years; which outweighs all other desires about any of the other options on the poll (although The Riding of the Laddie is No. 2 choice for me).
I'm with Jacob on this one. My vote goes for Riding of the Laddie. Being a serious Wicker-fan, I haven't been this excited about an upcoming movie for years.
I voted for 'The Riding Of the Laddie' after giving it some thought.
It was a close call between TTT and TROTL.
I love 'The Wicker Man' and i'm more than curious to see how the sequel turns out.
i'm hoping it has the same atmosphere or at least a bit similar as the original with lot's of folky music.
I had the same problem, Old Soul! I especially wanted to place my vote for both The Two Towers and Star Wars - Episode 3 - but I ended up going for SW3... although I anticipate all of the films!

The two towers, This is going to be the film of 2002.

Sorry, I must have had September 11, 2001 on the brain here. Twin towers is a phrase you hear everyday in the US since the tragedy.
I have changed my post to read "TWO TOWERS". Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

The Two Towers, Dave.
