Charlemagne Music Samples

Charlemagne
Christopher Lee's upcoming album "Charlemagne", which is due to be released the 15th of March 2010, has now its own MySpace page.

You can now hear some mp3 music samples, as well as read all the relevant album information.

"Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross", is a concept album with original words and symphonic metal music.

Composer Marco Sabiu, best known for his collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Take That, Pavarotti, Morricone, has created a truly epic canvas by introducing modern metal symphonies, in a style which resembles a movie score. Marie-Claire Calvet, a graduate from Bristol University, transports the listener into "The Dark Ages", with a very powerful storyline and mesmerising lyrics. A full orchestra, heavy metal musicians, choir and special guest vocalists bring the legend of Charlemagne to life.

This is the line up of singers.

Christopher Lee...Charlemagne (Ghost)
Christina Lee...Narrator
Phil...Pepin the Short
Mauro Conti...Pope Hadrian
Vincent Ricciardi...Charlemagne (Young)
Lydia Salnikova...Hildegard
Christi Ebenhock...Storytelling singer

This sounds very exciting. Being a fan of a good movie score, I'm sure I will enjoy this. Wonderful picture. It will be very interesting to hear Christina's narration on the album. I don't believe I have heard her voice before.
Thankyou.

I just love listening to the music. It has a nice sound. When Sir Christopher's CD comes out, will it come to the US or will this be ordered online?

I got a book on Charlemagne. I would like to get this album. He truly changed western civilization. He started the first public schools in Europe in the dark ages, by importing clerics from Ireland and England.  His grandfather was Charles Martel, the illegitimate son of Pepin the Merovingian King's steward.  Charles was illiterate.  Fortunately, Charlemagne was taught to read by his mother who sent him to a priest.

Wow, this album is making lots of headlines on the internet! There seems to be much more "buzz" for "Charlemagne" than there was for "Revelation". Dozens of websites are reporting about it. There's a youtube video of Sir Christopher talking about the album:

I have most of "Rhapsody" albums ,some with Sir Chris on,and they`re GREAT!
As it is,I`m an avid collector of his films and music, even an LP `Dracula`,where he narrates a version of the
man himself(all accompanied by James Bernards superb music)
I also would love to meet him,but thats unlikely,I`m housebound, thru illhealth.
Would it be possible to chat online about Sir Chris with other devoted fans,on here????

My fave films are Golden Gun + Capt Invincible!
